Keepsakes for Every Stage of Life
Some things are worth keeping. At Krafty Bandit, Kim hand-sews keepsakes that mark the moments that matter, from a brand new baby to a life lovingly remembered. Many are made from clothing that already means something to you, so the fabric you hold onto becomes something you can keep close.
Here is how our keepsakes follow a life, stage by stage.
A new baby
Wrap a little one in something handmade. Our baby blankets and quilts, lovey and receiving sets, embroidered bibs, and bear and blanket gift sets are made for nurseries, naptime, and baby showers. Want a custom color or theme? We make them to order. See the baby shower gift guide.
Growing up and milestones
Babies outgrow their first outfits fast. Before those onesies and tiny clothes get packed away, a few can become a memory bear or a small quilt, a keepsake your child can keep for life. Birthdays, graduations, and other milestones are good moments for an embroidered keepsake too. See our custom embroidery guide.
Everyday and gifts
Not every keepsake marks a milestone. Custom embroidery turns an everyday bag, hat, or notebook cover into something personal, and a handmade pillow or throw makes a home feel like yours. These make thoughtful gifts that do not feel generic.
Loss and remembrance
When you lose someone, their clothing carries them. We gently turn a favorite flannel, a wardrobe of shirts, or a soft sweater into a memory bear, a memory quilt, or a memory pillow, so you have something to hold onto. Browse our memorial keepsakes and read the sympathy and memorial gift guide.
The thread that connects them
From a baby's first blanket to a keepsake made after a loss, the same idea runs through everything we make: fabric holds memory, and we turn it into something you can keep. Every piece is sewn by hand in Belle Vernon, PA. Local pickup is available, and we ship and accept mail-in clothing from anywhere in the United States.
Common questions
Can you make a keepsake from a loved one's clothing? Yes. A bear usually takes one or two garments and a lap quilt often takes around a dozen shirts. Start with our custom order form or email hello@kraftybandit.com, then mail your garments to Krafty Bandit, 127 Speer Street, Belle Vernon, PA 15012.
How long does a custom keepsake take? Custom handmade pieces take about two to four weeks to make, and we confirm your timeline when you order.
Do you ship, or is it local only? Both. Pick up locally in Belle Vernon, or we ship finished keepsakes and accept mailed-in clothing from anywhere in the United States.
