Welcome to Krafty Bandit, Belle Vernon’s premier destination for curated women’s boutique fashion, handcrafted gifts, and artisan home decor. While our official storefront opened its doors in 2025, our story is over a decade in the making.
A Decade of Dedication
Krafty Bandit was founded by Kim, whose journey into sewing began in 2015. Following an early medical retirement, Kim pivoted her energy into a new passion, teaching herself to sew from a spare bedroom in her home. Supported every step of the way by her husband, Jerry, what started as a personal creative outlet quickly blossomed into a calling.
For ten years, Kim traveled the craft show circuit, sharing her creations with communities far and wide. She eventually brought her hand-crafted goods to Main Street Gypsy in Monongahela, PA, where she also dedicated hours to helping run the store. When that chapter closed, Kim took the ultimate leap to build her own space—culminating in the launch of the Krafty Bandit storefront in 2025.
Crafting Memories & Community
At Krafty Bandit, fabric is more than just material; it is a way to connect and heal. Kim specializes in creating deeply personal items, from custom rag quilts, totes, pillows, and blankets to deeply meaningful memory bears designed to honor the lives of customers’ loved ones. She can craft almost anything imaginable out of fabric, bringing a master’s touch and a deeply altruistic spirit to every single project.

Behind the Counter
When she isn’t at the sewing machine or curating new boutique arrivals, Kim enjoys taking well-deserved trips with Jerry and spending time at home with their two beloved dogs, Blue and Baxter. Kim was also an avid equestrian rider and trainer for many years.
Fun fact: The name of the business is also the name of one of her beloved horses, Bandit!
