Fall & Halloween Custom Crewneck Pre-Order

A cozy fall statement piece, made just for you. Pick your sweatshirt color and your glitter or neon applique, and Kim embroiders each crewneck to order in her Belle Vernon, PA shop.

The design

Spooky Season is the design for this pre-order. The word SPOOKY is cut from specialty applique fabric in tall arched varsity letters and outlined in dense machine embroidery, with the word season stitched underneath in cursive script. Small ghosts and bats are embroidered around the lettering. Your Applique choice sets which specialty fabric fills those letters, so the same design reads soft and sparkly in Glitter Green on a purple crewneck, or loud and bright in Neon Orange on a black one.

What is applique?

Applique is a decoration technique where a shaped piece of specialty fabric is stitched onto the sweatshirt with dense machine embroidery around its edges. You get bold, dimensional artwork with real sparkle and texture, not a printed transfer that cracks or fades in the wash.

Crewneck colors

Kim uses two Gildan crewneck blanks. Scarlet Red and Heather Green are the Gildan Softstyle midweight fleece (SF000): 8.4 oz fabric, 80% ring-spun cotton and 20% polyester with a 100% ring-spun cotton face. Black, Tangerine, Purple, and Ash are the Gildan Heavy Blend (18000): 8.0 oz fleece, 50% cotton and 50% polyester. Heather shades can run a slightly different blend.

Applique choices

Eight specialty applique fabrics: Glitter Gold, Glitter Brown, Glitter Green, Glitter Red, Glitter Black, Glitter Dark Walnut, Neon Orange, and Neon Green.

Frequently asked questions

What design am I ordering?

The Spooky Season design shown in the photos: SPOOKY in arched varsity applique letters with season in cursive script underneath, plus embroidered ghosts and bats. The Applique option you pick sets which specialty fabric fills the letters, not which design you get.

Can I get a different design instead?

Not through this pre-order. This listing is the Spooky Season design only. If you want different artwork embroidered on a sweatshirt, use the custom order form and Kim will quote it for you separately.

When will my crewneck arrive?

Each one is made to order and ships within 2 to 4 weeks of your order date. Order by September 16 and it arrives in plenty of time for Halloween.

What is applique embroidery?

A shaped piece of specialty fabric stitched onto the sweatshirt with dense border embroidery. It is textured and durable, not a printed transfer.

What if my size sells out?

It will not. Every crewneck is made to order rather than pulled from stock, so no size, color, or applique runs out before the September 16 cutoff.

Can I choose the thread color?

Leave a note at checkout with your preference and Kim will match it when she can. By default she chooses threads that suit your applique.

Can I return a custom crewneck?

Because each one is made to your exact choices, custom pieces are not returnable. If something is wrong with yours, email hello@kraftybandit.com and Kim will make it right.
