What does raw honey mean?
Raw honey is honey that has not been pasteurized. This Raw Wildflower Honey is only screened, then bottled fresh from the honeycomb, which keeps its rich, natural flavor. It comes from the mountains of Western Pennsylvania. Because it is raw, it may crystallize over time, which is natural; warming the bottle in a bowl of warm water brings it back to a smooth pour. Like all honey, it should not be given to babies under 12 months old.
Why did my honey turn thick or grainy?
That is crystallization, and it is natural for raw honey. Set the wildflower honey bottle in a bowl of warm water and stir until it pours smoothly again. Avoid the microwave, which can overheat it. Store the bottle at room temperature with the lid sealed; honey does not need the refrigerator.
